Action for Rural Education and Agriculture Solution (AREAS) recently welcomed representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for a field visit in Kismayo district. The delegation included Rein Paulsen, FAO Director for Emergencies, Etienne Peterschmitt, FAO Representative in Somalia, and the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of Jubaland State.

The visit primarily focused on ongoing efforts to improve food security, boost agricultural productivity, and support rural communities. Moreover, AREAS showcased innovative projects designed to build resilience and promote sustainable farming practices, particularly in vulnerable areas.
