Similarly, Somalia heavily relies on imports and exports, making its economy vulnerable to global crises. This dependency, therefore, raises the question: how much worse could life become when we rely so heavily on imports?
Sunflower oil, which is currently in short supply worldwide, is a crop that grows well in Somalia’s climate. It offers a golden opportunity for Somalia to reduce its dependence on imports, strengthen its economy, and create sustainable businesses.
